Delete your Maprider account

This page is for the Maprider app and web app, published by Attila Papai. It explains how to delete your account and your data.

• Open the app and open your profile.
• Tap “Delete account”.
• Enter your password and confirm the deletion.

• Sign in at maprider.app and open “Profile”.
• Go to the “Delete account” card.
• Enter your password and confirm the deletion.

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject “Delete my account”. Send it from the email address of the account. We do not accept requests from other addresses. We confirm the request and delete the account within 10 business days.

• Your account: email, language and password hash.
• Your routes, GPX files and folders.
• The trips you own, for all members. In trips of other people, we remove only you.
• Your login sessions and your invitations.
• Your profile in PostHog, if you agreed to analytics.

Deletion is final and happens at once after you confirm. On your phone, the app removes your local data when you delete the account. Downloaded maps stay until you remove them.

• Backups: copies of your data stay in our backups for up to 30 days and are then deleted automatically. We do not restore a deleted account from them.
• Error reports in Sentry: they hold only a user id. They stay for 30 days.
• Server logs with your IP address and user id: they stay for 7 to 30 days, depending on the log type.
• Support emails: up to 1 year after we close your request.
